Call For Installation Proposals

The current round for submissions is now closed.

The Tumo Center for Creative Technologies is seeking proposals for an installation project in the center's installation space and a corresponding workshop in collaboration with Tumo students. The purpose of the installation is to support Tumo's mission at the intersection of technology and art, inspire our students and staff, and educate workshop participants in the process.

Details

One proposal will be selected. Participation is open to all creative thinkers and innovators including media professionals, artists, curators, architects, and urban planners. Proposals are evaluated on feasibility, artistic excellence, integration of technology, cost competitiveness, and the extent to which the workshop involves hands-on participation by Tumo students. The installation and workshop will be implemented during 2015.

Installation area specifications: 110 square meters with a height of 10.5 meters.

Proposals must include

Proposal & Timeline

Please provide a summary of the installation and workshop you wish to propose (max 800 words) and a timeline for the workshop and completion of the installation. This should cover the main themes of the work and a plan regarding how you will engage Tumo’s students in this process. Please include supporting photos, videos, and links which further illustrate your vision.

Budget & Deadline

The total budget for the installation and workshop is $20,000 including all materials, fees, and travel expenses. Please provide a rough budget which illustrates how you will allocate this funding and a breakdown of expenses. Please note that budgets will be evaluated for cost competitiveness.
Completed proposals should be emailed to workshops@tumo.org no later than 6pm (Yerevan time) Sunday March 1, 2015. Please include “Tumo Installation Proposal” in the subject line of the email and attach your proposal and materials as a .pdf file.
