The Design in Motion workshop challenged students to develop a unique vision and express it through motion graphics and animation. Using a variety of applications, including Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects, students developed their individual narratives. They first storyboarded their ideas and then developed visuals and created short animations.

Participants were presented with a collection of ordinary images that were seemingly chosen at random. The images had no relationship to one another and were not chosen by the instructor with any regard for a particular look or subject matter. The students were asked to choose one image as a starting point in the creation of their own 7-10 second story. The story could be about anything and not necessarily be formally or conceptually related to the original image by which it was inspired.
