Offside
A group of advanced Tumo filmmaking students collaborated on the creation of a 13-minute short film covering the entire process of filmmaking. Over the course of two months, the students worked on the creation and development of a storyboard, shooting and editing, with the support of Tumo DOP and filmmaker Davit Gyumishyan. During the post-production phase, they used various VFX techniques such as rotoscoping, camera-tracking, 3D modeling, texturing and compositing.

The film follows the daily struggles of a young man who is somewhat lost, lacking focus and purpose. The only bright aspect of his life is his love of soccer, and his only enjoyment, his time spent writing a blog about the sport. The film contrasts these limited moments of happiness with the confining aspects of his time spent at work and his troublesome daily life. The film guides the viewer through the protagonist's emotional struggles and conflicts, leading to a life-altering resolution.
