Tumo celebrated its first anniversary on August 14, 2012. Nearly 3,000 teenagers flooded Tumo Plaza for a group photo. The day was full of nice surprises: a live-concert performed by Armenian reggae band Reincarnation and an after-party with DJ Serjo combined with a colorful light show in the plaza's largest fountain.

Tumo opened in summer 2011 as a space where technologically curious teenagers and preteens could have access to digital learning tools and professional mentorship. A year later, the center has thousands of registered members aged 12-18 and hundreds of students using its facilities per day. Students produce creative content and media applications and at times work on real-life projects guided by industry professionals.
