TEDx Inspires Big Dreams at Tumo

The youngest TEDxYerevan speaker

20 year old Pertch Sargsyan, who has been a Tumo member since the center's opening, was the youngest among an impressive lineup of this year's TEDxYerevan speakers. He shared his keen love of sports and his childhood dream of becoming a professional football player. Though his career has taken him on a more technical path as a Computer Science student at Yerevan State University, he is certain that one of his future children will be part of Armenia's national football team. Recently, Pertch joined the Tumo staff as a Building Systems Engineering intern.

In September 2013, Tumo hosted another successful TEDxYerevan conference, with over 300 attendees filling up its halls.

The world famous gathering was held in Armenia for the fourth consecutive year. This year’s theme was “Entrepreneurship of Big Dreams.”

A diverse group of 14 presenters shared inspiring stories of entrepreneurship and innovation, encouraging attendees to “dream big” and "live passionately." Topics included corporate social responsibility, renewable energy, archeological tourism, and celebrating science through art.

Tumo has been the site of various TEDx events since the center opened its doors in 2011.
