Guided by motion graphics designer Raffi Simonian, a team of Tumo students storyboarded sequences based on their respective extrapolations of assigned still photographs. The students mastered their skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Cinema 4D.

Workshop participants then went on to crate motion graphics pieces based on their storyboards. Using Cinema 4D, they created three-dimensional models and animated sequences in order to tell compelling stories in video segments of around one minute. Topics ranged from the flight of seagulls and the journey from farm to city, to mutating body parts and an alien invasion.

Below is a sampling of student work from the workshop.
