Multimedia photo stories
In February 2014, documentary photographer Diana Markosian supervised an advanced photojournalism workshop at Tumo. Over the course of a month, the participants learned how to combine photography with multimedia elements. The students not only created their own photo series, but also conducted interviews and made sound recordings, presenting multimedia pieces at the end of the workshop.

11 young documentarians were involved in looking for unique individuals around them and shooting photo stories of their daily lives. In order to give a better understanding of their characters, sound recordings were added to the stories, in which the subjects of the stories discussed their motivations, their worldview, and important events in their lives. The multimedia stories cross the intimate boundaries of the subjects' minds, trying to guide the viewer towards a better understanding of people's lives and the choices they make.
