The theme of this project was inspired by the game of chess and chess pieces. Participants studied theatrical costume design, color concepts, sketching and how to transform a design idea into an actual manufactured piece. Initial sketches of the chess pieces were created using tablets. These drawings were then transformed into costumes using moulage a direct draping technique.
