The first phase of the "India in My Imagination" essay and drawing competition, held by the Embassy of India in Armenia, the Ministry of Education and Tumo has ended. Over 500 essays and drawings were entered into the competition from various regions in Armenia.

Selected participants will be contacted to take part in the second phase of the competition taking place at Tumo on December 28th. Students will be split into two groups: 6th-8th graders and 9-12th graders. Participants will be given the necessary tools and 4 hours to complete their drawing or 2 hours to complete their essay.

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners from each group and each category. The 1st place winners will get a once in a lifetime 7 day trip to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

The competition is happening in the run up to India's Republic Day on January 26th 2015. The aim is to increase knowledge about India among students in Armenia.
