Aram Pachyan, one of the most popular contemporary authors in Armenia, will be running a month long workshop at Tumo starting March 30th.


Participants in Pachyan's "Permission to Write" workshop will get guidance on improving their writing skills and will learn how to express themselves through creative writing. Students will focus on writing in different forms and taking various approaches to the creative process. By the end of the workshop, they will have written and developed their own stories with Pachyan's professional assistance. The stories will then be developed into scripts for future films and animations at Tumo.


Well known fiction and non-fiction author Aram Pachyan is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the Yerevan State University. He was first published in 2007 and quickly developed his own unique writing style. In 2010 he was awarded a Youth Prize by the President of Armenia for a series of stories published in the press. Pachyan is best known for his novel "Goodbye, Bird" based on social issues in the military.
