Over 25 students are currently participating in the second level of the Online Literacy workshop, led by Tumo workshop leader Anahit Galstyan.

Students initially learn basic research skills such utilizing search engines to navigate their way through the internet to find key information. They also learn how to use social media to create and disseminate information.

Once students have gained these skills they are guided to create and manage a blog. Those who have previous experience in programming are encouraged to use those skills to customize their websites. As a final outcome of the workshop, students will be able to independently research, create and manage content for any topic from start to finish and apply their expertise in academic studies or employment.

Anahit Galstyan has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kent in Politics and International Relations and earned her Master's degree in Human Rights from the School of Public Policy at University College London. She has extensive experience in youth work, content writing and social media management from both her academic studies and work experience.
