The short documentary is a humorous take on a serious issue: a village split in two by the Armenia-Georgia border. Sona and Marine Kocharyan filmed and produced the documentary about young Lusine who lives in Jiliz, Armenia. She had not seen her relatives in six years because of the invisible border which prevented her from travelling the short distance to her relatives' home. Sona and Marine documented Lusine's 100km journey to get from Jiliz, Armenia to Jiliz, Georgia.

"How to Cross (from Jiliz to Jiliz)" will premiere at Hot Docs on April 24, alongside a lineup of outstanding documentaries from around the world.
