Tumo was buzzing on Saturday evening with students, their parents, relatives and friends who had come to the center for the premiere of the music video for TmbaTa's "Le Petit Papa". The music video was the result of a two week workshop with award winning cinematographer Mkrtich "Mko" Malkhasyan.
The workshop kicked off with a meeting and discussion with members of TmbaTa and their workshop leader Arik Grigoryan on how to portray the meaning and energy of the song through the music video. Following this meeting, students covered every phase of the process: pre-production, production and post-production.
Strange characters with eccentric make-up took over Tumo to shoot scenes and perform for the video. They then continued on with editing with Mko's guidance.
The event on Saturday began with a performance by TmbaTa, followed by the screening of the music video and applause from the audience. The workshop leader noted that completing the huge project in such a short period of time was challenging, but the challenge was overcome by the motivation and unity of the students working as a team.
