A Professional Design Studio at Tumo

Tumo students who participated in product design workshops at Tumo now have the opportunity to continue their work and further their careers in Tumo's very own professional design studio. The studio is led by workshop leader Vasken Brudian and employs Tumo alumni.
The studio team is working towards producing marketable products with innovative designs. These products are influenced by traditional Armenian decorative patterns found on various cultural objects such as cross-stones, miniatures, artwork and carpets. Products range from everyday house ware to art installations and architecture. The studio has already entered its production phase, designing, prototyping and manufacturing its first batch of limited edition products.
The studio staff is also leading design workshops at Tumo and hopes to inspire more Tumo students to join the product design team in the future.
