On January 10th, Harvard University students Antuan Tran, Evan Yao and Andrew Sheeler will kick off their 10 day intensive beginner and intermediate computer programming workshops at Tumo. Participating students will learn how to apply JavaScript and HTML to create a web based music application.

By building a musical harmonizer, participants will acquire the skills necessary for building their own interactive web applications. They will learn to create appealing user interfaces and manage user input and interactions using HTML, CSS and popular JavaScript libraries. They will also become familiar with media playback tools and algorithms for harmonization.

Antuan, Evan and Andrew are Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics majors at Harvard. They all have extensive backgrounds in music and experience teaching computer programming.
