Tumo reopened its doors to students today for the new year's first day of classes.
Thousand of students are expected to come through Tumo's doors this week to begin or continue their learning program. 2014 culminated in a celebration marking the end of a creative year with a fun day full of emotions and surprises. There were also special performances by Tumo's Tmba Ta Orchestra, DJ Dale and DJ Leon Gris.
Today, students had a chance to sample all the workshops offered at Tumo by participating in introductory classes in the now traditional round of 'workshop shopping'. Students also had a chance to find out more about upcoming ad hoc workshops and special projects.
Workshop shopping will continue for the rest of the week to give all students a chance to fine tune their personal learning plans for 2015.
