Students participating in Tumo's core game development workshops now have the opportunity to use one of the most popular game engines: Unity.

To date, students participating in game development workshops have used the GameMaker and CryENGINE platforms. There are now over 60 students using Unity which integrates tools for the creation of interactive 2D and 3D content. Students are using the Unity engine as a platform to explore their creativity and further enhance their knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript. Unity also uses C#, a programming language that is becoming increasingly popular in game development.

Unity will be taught across all levels of game development workshops and will be used alongside other game engines. Later in the year, advanced level students will have a chance to participate in a workshops using Unreal Engine, taught by Weplay.Media and THQ Digital Studios lead designer Ara Shirinian.
