Yesterday, in one of Yerevan's hottest clubs, Bambir band member and Tumo workshop leader Arik Grigoryan was giving a standing room only performance. As always, the club was full and people were occupying any space where they could sit or stand. The only thing that was different from other nights was that a handful of teenagers from Tumo's Tmbata group were also on stage and joined in the performance. They played and sang side by side with seasoned musicians Grigoryan and Tigran Suchyan. The audience loved these newcomers, singing along with them and showering them with applause.

Tmbata, created a year and a half ago, is a folk rock band that plays original compositions based on traditonal pieces combined with experimental and rock music. Tmbata, which emerged from Tumo's music workshops, includes thirty young people, most of whom have been on stage various times, performing at Tumo and beyond.
