A new music workshop entitled "Bazar Sound" is taking place at Tumo Dilijan until December 27th.

The Tumo music team has launched the first phase of the Bazar Sound project at Tumo Dilijan. Students will use the sounds of their immediate environment to create unique compositions. Sounds such as cars passing, birds chirping, conversations and the buzz of the city will be recorded using a Tascam PCM Recorder for iPad. The sounds will then be edited and turned into musical instruments. Students will compose 2 minute pieces using these instruments.

By turning everyday sounds into instruments, students will begin to see their environment from an entirely new perspective. All sounds collected through the Bazar Sound project will be added to Tumo's ongoing sound-library which will ultimately become a sound-map of Armenia.
