AGBU 88th General Assembly Visits Tumo

Today, following a talk at Ayb School with Tumo founder Sam Simonian on Human Capital and the Diaspora as part of the AGBUtalks, Tumo hosted more than a hundred people from all corners of the world who are in Yerevan for the 88th General Assembly of the AGBU.

 

The group took a tour of the center, meeting students, visiting the facilities and getting acquainted with the learning programs firsthand. They also went up two floors to the Picsart headquarters to experience the working environment that gave birth to one of the most popular mobile applications in the world. The guests assembled at the Tumo bleachers where they learned about Teach for Armenia's mission of bringing a new approach to education for young people in the village schools of Armenia. Finally, Tumo Director Marie Lou Papazian spoke to the visitors about the inner workings of Tumo and the center's future oriented vision.

A series of talks in the framework of the AGBU 88th General Assembly began on March 27 and will continue until April 5 in Yerevan. The General Assembly is hosting educational institutions, foundations, state institutions and international organizations to discuss the potential for change and innovation in Armenia.
