Birthright Armenia volunteer Justin Mayfield's musical chain composition workshop ended last week with the production of a 10 track compilation album.
Students of differing musical abilities learned how to compose and produce music of various genres using GarageBand software. Participants teamed up and produced four minute compositions which were then rotated for each participant to add their own touch until everyone had contributed to each composition. Students then mixed and produced the tracks using ProTools.
Justin, whose volunteering at Tumo was recently featured on CNN, has a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from the Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. He volunteered his time at Tumo to share his knowledge and experience in non-traditional digital music making.
