One of the newest members of the Tumo team is workshop leader David Ashotyan. David first interacted with Tumo when he participated in Ubisoft art director and concept artist Arman Akopian's game concept art workshop. He is now a core member of the Tumo team.

David is thrilled to be sharing his experiences with students at Tumo. "When I first discovered my love for creating 3D characters, I didn't have anyone guiding or mentoring me. At times it was very difficult for me to find the necessary information to develop my skills" said David, "so I decided that I wanted to be a guide and mentor for young people interested in creating games and characters. I want to inspire, motivate and assist them in achieving their dreams." David is teaching workshop participants 3D modelling, texturing and rendering. "They are creating cartoon characters and will progress to create robots, monsters and people in the next level of the workshop."

"Growing up, I was inspired by video games and animated films. My students have a variety of different sources of inspiration and they have taught me to be more flexible in my teaching methods. One day I hope to share my skills with as many young people as possible and engage in different types of worthwhile projects."
