On November 2nd, over a hundred people attended the "Unbordering Education" forum organized by the KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation, the Embassy of Switzerland in Armenia and PanArmenian.NET in cooperation with Tumo. The forum was on the impact of online technologies in education.

During the forum, current trends, challenges and opportunities in Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) systems and e-learning were discussed. The keynote speaker was designer, commentator and one of the originators of the MOOC concept Stephen Downes. Additionally, representatives from GIZ Armenia, the National Center of Educational Technologies and Armenian Virtual College shared best practices.

KASA actively works on the development of e-learning in Armenia to reduce the social, cultural and digital divide between Yerevan and other regions of the country. KASA has designed an e-learning platform to support people in taking online courses and acquiring knowledge, in order to ultimately reduce unemployment in Armenia.
