Tumo Students Take Part in Kupelian’s Epic Adventure

Since June 7th, Journey Pictures' production offices have been stationed at Tumo, working on the epic documentary-narrative series "East of Byzantium: War Gods & Warrior Saints." Visual Effects veteran Roger Kupelian, Emmy nominated producer William Martens, and multiple international award winning producer Seda Melkoni of Journey Pictures, have come together to produce the series representing the historic role of Armenia in the spread of Christianity.
Tumo students have been given the opportunity to assist in the production through filming time-lapse scenes, taking part as background actors and filming alongside the camera crew. They have been travelling with the production team to locations around Armenia and getting first hand exposure to the film industry through working directly with the production team.
Grammy award winning singer and Tumo board member Serj Tankian will compose the score for the series, to be broadcast on worldwide networks by early fall 2014.
