Tumo reopened its doors to students today with a countdown to the new year of learning. Both new and existing students gathered outside the Tumo building where they were greeted by coaches who were ready and waiting to guide them through their first day back. Over 200 young people rocketed through Tumo's doors to begin or continue their learning.
Students had a chance to try their hand at all workshops offered at Tumo through 'workshop shopping'. Workshop leaders led beginner level sample classes open to all interested students and also informed them about upcoming ad hoc workshops and projects. Throughout the year, all students are encouraged to participate in the four learning areas at Tumo: animation, filmmaking, game development and web development.
'Workshop shopping' will be running through the entire week to give all students a chance to participate in the sample workshops.
