Tumo Jury Announces Winners of Youth Film Festival

Yesterday, Tumo students serving on the jury panel for the animation competition at the 10th Rolan International Youth Film Festival revealed the winning films at the festival's closing ceremony.

 

After watching screenings of the 16 animated films, the Tumo jury discussed the qualities of each film and voted on their favorites. Sandguy (Estonia) took the prize for best short animated film, The Prince and the Gray Wolf (Russia) won in the category of best animated feature film and The Apostle (Spain) received a special mention award. In addition to the animation screenings and competition, 10 feature films of different genres were also screened at Tumo as part of the festival.

 

Since 2011, the Rolan Bykov Foundation has been organizing the film festival in Yerevan and surrounding regions of Armenia. The main goal is to promote the development of cinema and TV for children and young people by involving them in creative processes in Armenian cinematography.
