A new workshop, launched on April 1, is teaching the fundamentals of computer programming and applying them to the creation of games. Once basic coding concepts are acquired, participants will split into teams and rapidly prototype and develop small games to be played and tested by their peers. The workshop, titled Game Hacker, has the dual purpose of using the fun of games to teach programming, while helping future developers to discover their passion for game design.

The Game Hacker workshop is led by Vahe Torozyan, an experienced industry professional who is now leading a game development initiative at Tumo. Vahe was previously the CEO of the Armenian branch of the international Digital Chocolate game development company, and a veteran of the Silicon Valley startup community at the famous Y Comibinator incubator in Moutain View, California.
