This past Saturday, around 90 students from Tumo Dilijan paid a special visit to Yereven to meet their counterparts in the capital and get a thorough understanding of Tumo's educational mission. They were warmly welcomed by TumoBand's iPad performance and a dance presentation from their fellow students.

The Dilijan students were introduced to Tumo's state of the art learning facilities, with film lovers being given a 3D film screening in the center's fully equipped movie theater and sports enthusiasts competing with their Yerevan peers in newly constructed soccer and basketball fields. The fully equipped game room was also at the disposal of video game lovers, while the the fans of programming tried their hands at experimenting with Lego robots. Others hung out at Tumo's pop-up fountains, splashed around in the reflective pool and enjoyed the center's open-air picnic areas.

Sona, a 16-year-old student who has been attending Tumo Dilijan for the last three months, relayed her excitement about being part of this educational program. "I was very excited to watch the unique performance by the TumoBand," she explained. "I am very fond of digital music and often experiment with various software myself, so I am really looking forward to participating in a similar workshop in Dilijan. It was also a thrill to watch the 3D movie in Tumo's cinema, as this was my first time doing so."

On January 26, 2013, Tumo officially opened its doors to Dilijan teenagers with the support of the Central Bank of Armenia. Tumo Dilijan is housed within the Knowledge for Development Center, a local library building recently reconstructed by the Central Bank. Tumo Dilijan already has nearly 260 registered members who have access to Tumo's unique learning system and get exposure to all four focus areas: animation, web development, game development and digital media.
