Shooting has started on a short film based on Hovannes Tumanyan's story The Liar. The film is an adaptation of the original story with the characters updated for a modern setting.
It features Eduard Antonyan in the role of the Member of Parliament. The crew includes director of Photography David Gevorgyan and Sound Engineer Aram Shahbazyan, assistant director Tigran Avagyan and Script supervisor Levon Ginoyan.
The film project is part of Tumo's core filmmaking workshop where students are creating short films over the course of four weeks on the basis of works of literature reimagined according to their own interpretations. Participating students fill multiple roles, from scriptwriting and shooting, to post-production and editing.
