Tumo is marking International Animation Day on October 28 with an afternoon of exclusive screenings and talks by animation professionals. The event will be accompanied by four days of guest lectures at the center hosted in partnership with the ReAnimania film festival.

Monday's festivities begin at 14:00 with a 75-year Armenian animation retrospective in the Tumo Cinema. Local and international animation professionals will then be on hand for an engaging discussion on the latest developments within the field.

The event is free and open to the public. Participants who register will also be entered to win a copy of Richard Williams' landmark book, The Animator's Survival Kit.

Visiting animation experts taking part in the ReAnimania festival will carry on the celebrations with daily lectures at Tumo starting Sunday. Topics to be covered in the presentations include working in television, the process of animation, the making of the Indian animated action film Arjun, and the key role of festivals.
