Here at Tumo, workshops cover a wide range of topics. Students can learn many disciplines, from programming and 3D modeling to painting and music. Among the most popular learning targets is photography. Besides our permanent photography workshop, Tumo has held many ad hoc workshops by well-known photographers from Armenia and different parts of the world like Scout Tufankjian, Eric Grigorian, Jordi Adria, Diana Markosyan, Anush Babajanyan and Inna Mkhitaryan.

Taking into consideration the passion towards photography among students, Tumo decided to give them a chance to show off their efforts and be rewarded for it. Tumo’s first photography contest, Tumography, launches today.

The contest is open to all students who have participated in at least one photography-related workshop at Tumo. They will compete in five categories: Portrait, Documentary, Nature, Open and Story. During the selection process in June, the professional jury of photographers and curators will choose the winners in five categories. Participants and interested students are welcome to come and follow the selection process. The winning students will receive photography books specific to their category.
