Representing Tumo Photography in Lithuania

From the 9th to the 13th of June, Tumo staff member and workshop leader Tatev Vardanyan was invited to take part in an international photography seminar organized by the Kaunas Youth Mass Media Center supported by the Union of Lithuanian Photographers. Prior to the workshop, Tatev had submitted both her own photographs and those of participants in her workshops at Tumo. She was invited to take part in this year's seminar to represent Armenia both as a young photographer and as an instructor at Tumo.
During the seminar, 50 participants, both local and international, were given guidance on how to evaluate their own photographs and select them for their portfolios. Following the seminar, a competition was held among the participants. Tatev won in the categories of Best Portfolio and Best Photo Movie. Additionally, both Tatev's photographs and her students' were printed in a special publication entitled "Young People in the 21st Century". All participants received a copy of the publication and a certificate of participation. Tumo encourages its students and staff to take part in international workshops, seminars and competitions, and aims to significantly increase participation in leading international events.
