2012 was the inaugural year of TEDxKids@Yerevan, which has taken place at Tumo every year since then. The gathering was the first of its kind in the region. Since 2012, a total of 69 young people have graced the TEDxKids@Yerevan stage.

Tumo student Tigran Sargsyan was one of the first to speak on the 2012 stage with his talk entitled "Stop the chain of bullying". He encouraged everyone to break the dangerous chain of mocking others. True to TED's aim of spreading ideas, Tigran's talk can now be shared widely around the world as it has been translated into 22 languages.

TEDxKids@Yerevan aims to serve as a platform for Armenia's younger generations to speak up about their problems and issues of interest and concern, as well as tell their individual stories. Prior to his talk, Tigran felt uncomfortable speaking in front of an audience. Since his talk, he has become a member of debate clubs and engages in public speaking more regularly.

TEDxKids@Yerevan is organized by the Tumo TED-Ed club members and takes place at Tumo on International Children's Day every year.
