For the next month, Birthright Armenia volunteer Justin Mayfield is running a musical chain composition workshop. Students of differing musical abilities are currently learning how to compose and produce music of different genres using GarageBand software.

Participants will initially each produce a two to five minute composition. After this, the compositions will be rotated and each participant will add their own touch to them until every participant has contributed to the overall result. By the end of the workshop, students will have collaborated and produced a compilation album of their work.

Justin has a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from the Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. He is volunteering his time at Tumo to share his knowledge and experience in non-traditional digital music making.
