During summer Tumo offers a filmmaking workshop to the students interested in the filmmaking process and have an interesting story to tell.

Over 6 weeks more than 100 Tumo students jumped into the filmmaking project, where they had the opportunity to explore every phase of film production. Participants were divided into 4 groups, each of them having their own mentor, and given a strict deadline to develop their stories and make a 5 minute short film as the final result.

They were free to choose their own topics, develop and edit their stories and finally to shoot them. Everything was done to imitate the atmosphere of the filmmaking industry, covering every phase of the process : pre –production, production, post-production. Topics they chose were various, ranging from their personal experiences to social problems, relationships etc.

Last week all participants gathered at the Tumo cinema to demonstrate the results they accomplished during the working process. Discussions followed and the mentors gave some advice.

The teams will continue to work on their film projects and explore the interesting world of cinematography.
