Photojournalism workshop kicks off

An advanced photojournalism workshop started up at Tumo today, under the leadership of documentary photographer Diana Markosian.

 

The workshop will last one month, during which time participants will learn how to combine photography with multimedia elements. The participants will not only create their own photo series, but they will also conduct interviews and make sound recordings to create a holistic story.

 

At the end of the workshop, each participant will present their photo series, including edited photographs, as a two minute multimedia presentation.

 

Diana Markosian is a documentary photographer, whose images have appeared in the Boston Globe, Foreign Policy, Foto8, Marie Claire, the New York Times ,the Sunday Times, Time.com, and World Policy Journal. Her work has also been exhibited by international organizations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and UNICEF. Read more>>
