On July 2nd, over 200 guests attended the HIVE Start launch party at Tumo. Hovnanian Foundation's HIVE Start is the world's first virtual accelerator and network for Armenian startups, mentors and professionals. It acts as a platform for building bridges between the diaspora and Armenia to encourage economic development in the Armenian global community.

Following a brief presentation from the founders of HIVE Start and two lightning pitches from Lionsharp Solutions  and News Deeply, representatives from different startups and organizations had a chance to network and find out more about the local and international initiatives.

Entrepreneurs, professionals, mentors, investors and fresh talent can become HIVE members. The virtual community allows users to apply to accelerate their startup and to search for other users by skills and talent. HIVE also offers users access to online and offline events, mentor matching, and other resources.

25 Tumo students took part in the event, with the intention to become involved in the virtual network in the future.
