Former Tumo student, coach and workshop leader Hakob Muradyan has spent the past 6 months making his lifetime dream come true by working on "Anahit", a Robert Sahakyants production based on the fairy tale by Ghazaros Aghayan.

Hakob had dreamed of creating a Disney inspired animation from a young age. Once he enrolled as a student at Tumo in 2011, he took every opportunity to improve his animation skills. In addition to self-directed learning through the Tumo World, a foundational part of Tumo's learning system, Hakob participated in a wide range of animation and related workshops at Tumo. He worked on various projects and commissions, including the NUR One Laptop per Child social advertising and the production of a ten-second title sequence for Atom Egoyan's Ego Film Arts logo.

Hakob further developed his passion for animation while working with enthusiastic Tumo students as a workshop leader. Hakob was soon given an opportunity he could not pass by: the Disney inspired "Anahit", one of the most ambitious animated feature films to come out of Armenia.

"Anahit" will appear on the silver screen this fall.
