Tumo is currently offering the second level of the robotics workshop series. In the workshop’s first level, participants were introduced to concepts such as robot sensors, main models for building robots and theoretical knowledge about the physical and mechanical properties of a robot. Presently, participants are using their theoretical knowledge to build an actual robot, and are given the chance to choose the robot’s exterior appearance.

In this phase of the workshop, participants will become acquainted with the basics of the LabVIEW visual programming software and learn how to control robots with it. At the end of the workshop, the robots will be presented in their completed form, demonstrating their capabilities, performing preset tasks and overcoming challenges.

The workshop will also have a third, advanced level, where participants will have the opportunity to add basic artificial intelligent components to the robots. Later this year, Tumo will host Lego Mindstorms expert Joseph Fargas, who will conduct a two-week workshops for members.
