Over 100 Tumo members are finishing their level one Web Development workshop this week, having had the opportunity to learn HTML and CSS, and to create their own web pages.

During the workshop, participants not only learned the basics of web development, but also studied the principles of design in order to control the visual appearance and usability of their websites.

Starting in February, members will be able to participate in the intermediate level programming workshop, where they will learn to work with content management systems and program in PHP so as to develop more complex websites.

In a complementary series of workshops, students also study programming in JavaScript in order to add dynamism and more advanced functionality to websites.
